Deleting your account and data

Who can make a request

• A parent or guardian, for their own account.
• A teacher or staff member, for their own account.
• A parent or guardian, for their child’s information: the request is then passed on to the school, which is responsible for it.

How to make a request

Send your request by email to infos@maya-invest.ca, preferably from the address linked to your account.

So that we can process it, please include:

• Your first and last name.
• The email address of the account concerned.
• The name of the school.
• What you are asking for: account deletion, deletion of specific information, or both.

Processing time

We acknowledge your request and verify your identity, to prevent any improper deletion.

Deletion is carried out within a maximum of 90 days from the date the request is received.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in credentials.
• Your profile information: name, email address, role.
• Your preferences and app settings.
• Content you have posted, where removing it does not deprive the school of information it is responsible for.

What may be kept

Some information is kept beyond the deletion of the account where the law or the school’s obligations require it.

• School documents subject to an archiving obligation, such as report cards.
• Accounting records relating to school fees.
• Technical and security logs, for their usual retention period.
• Aggregated or anonymized data, which can no longer identify you.

School data: the role of the school

For data entered in EDAYA by a school (grades, attendance, messages, fees), the school is the data controller and EDAYA acts as a processor.

These requests are therefore passed on to the school concerned, which decides how to proceed according to its own obligations. You can also contact the school directly.
